    Hello everyone,

    Does anyone know if the following items are considered Community Benefit.

    Language Line
    VRI (Video Remote Interpreting
    VRS
    In-house Interpreters

    Looking forward to getting some feedback.

    These items are considered a normal business requirement and cannot be counted as CB.

    Providing translators is a cost of doing business.

    If these items are above and beyond what is required by law/accreditation, then you can count them as CB under A3 Health Care Support Services. This is from the Guide for Planning & Reporting Community Benefit page 293 of the 2012 edition.

    Translators are now required by law along with providing the equipment. Only if/when you provide translators or the equipment in the community for activities or events does it count as community benefit. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
