Sustainability is managing the significant economic, environmental and societal impacts that a company causes or contributes to. It’s also often referred to as corporate social responsibility, or corporate citizenship.
Although the goal of corporations and companies both large and small is profit, it has become increasingly more important to conduct business in a way that considers social, environmental and economic impacts. A business strategy that includes sustainability is good for the company and the community, locally and globally. As consumers become more educated on sustainability, the demand for information and accurate reporting increases.
