The Centers for Disease Prevention and Control presents the results of a systematic literature review of existing assessment resources: 42 frequently recommended metrics for use in Community Health Needs Assessments, complete with hyperlinks to existing indicator data sources. It is “meant to be a time-saving resource for identifying and analyzing data for community health assessments.” This resource also includes an excellent, accessible overview of the evolution and history of community health assessments. It would be an ideal resource to provide for anyone who is looking to gain a high-level understanding of CHNA’s, in addition to serving as a great refresher for professionals with any level of CHNA expertise.
